You mean sign up with CFG to play with New York then loaned to City like Lampard?Wonder if Messi fancies America?
Yeah, wouldn't be surprised to see him thereI can see him ending up at PSG
Yep - if you read the article i think its quite possitive for us. Talk of moving to a salary as a % of income approach. The rule that LaLiga has and Barca are failing.Barcelona have destroyed FFP with this loss.
They would need to post a profit of €550m to pass the extended monitoring period of 2019-2022.
Unless UEFA are willing to ban Barcelona, which they won't with the Superleague lurking, any rewriting of FFP to allow for Barcelona will essentially end it as a regulation.
I completely understand that but these are exceptional circumstances. He certainly doesn’t need the money (net worth somewhere north of £300m) but Barcelona are skint if you believe the reports. How about deferring his income ? As much as I’d love to see him in a City shirt I really think the right thing for him to do is help out his Club when they need him.Effectively he’d be paying them £50m as that’s what he’d be able to earn elsewhere.
He owes them nothing tbf. Barcelona have benifited from Messi just as much as Messi has benefited from Barcelona.I know this will sound incredibly naive but why won’t Messi play for Barcelona for free for a couple of years ? He’s been at the Club for 21 years and has probably earned hundreds of million during that time. He doesn’t need the money but it looks like his Club does. Doesnt he owe them ? I know loyalty is an overrated commodity these days but this would be a great time for Mr Messi to demonstrate some.
We will be pushing hard for both. First one to confirm wins...After all the stories last season about us going for him I cannot understand how we wouldn’t be engineering a move for him but if we are not that tells me that the Kane deal is moving forward .
The la Liga bubble got a slow puncture when that big fat prick tebas got involved and has been slowly deflating ever since..... unlike his fuckin waistline.Looks like the la Liga bubble is about to burst, if it hasn't already! With no global superstars left, what will be the attraction?
What happens to footballers when they reach 30This is worth doing if it can be done.
Kane's younger but he's only going to be mobile for another two years. He's one bad ankle injury away from having his career ended imo.
Haaland is obviously not coming, but if he was he'd be whisked away by Raoila within 2/3 years for another big payday.
Messi might be 34 but he's still got incredible fitness levels and will still be capable of scoring 20-30 goals this coming season. And he's on a free.
My vote goes to Messi.
