Easy and safe option, both initially and throughout. But I do feel PSG would have tried to get this through quickly. Before it gets conpared to any other option.

If we believe that he really was up for coming here last year, convinced his family, made up his mind, surely a part of him will want to rule that out properly having already mentally and emotionally crossed that bridge once.

Maybe on initial reaction he thought we were no longer there and went straight for PSG on offer, but now with feelings settling, he is willing to give it a bit of time and test it. Despite us publicly saying we are not interested, if there is any communication with his camp, I bet they wouldn't rule it out off hand.

Still expect him to go to PSG mind you.
While I agree that he still ends up at PSG, I'd be surprised if Messi and his dad don't check if any other clubs might be interested. I honestly believe that what Messi can bring in in terms of additional revenue makes it possible for a number of clubs to do a deal and not just PSG and us as is being mooted, United could make the figures work and perhaps Liverpool too, plus Bayern.
