Of course, I also did not envision Bartomeu running the club (into the ground) this poorly much less socis doing little to nothing about removing him. As I say, sometimes you get what you deserve rather than what you need. Bartomeu is the devil but club members, they let this happen and so they share culpability IMHO. Many of us have complained & campaigned to do something but it all too often fell on deaf ears or was drowned out by the propaganda machine of the board - this is not revelatory since we see similar tactics in US politics

I am (or I will be once this sideshow ends) thrilled to see Leo with a smile and playing under Pep again, presumably with a formidable supporting cast to enthrall us all

You thought the anti-City narratives & biases were insufferable before, just wait - the CR debates are only the tip. But it will be wonderful to watch

On the plus side, if Messi comes here and tears it up, he'll be confirmed as the goat. It's the ONLY thing CR has on messi.

there is a release clause,there isnt a release clause,he can leave , he cant leave,laliga say he has to say,spain say he can leave,you can go out,you must stay in,you can speak to your neighbour,you must isolate.... what is it with 2020 ?

For me, that's really beside the point. I am more concerned about his sendoff - all things considered, even if it were amicable it would be a bizarre goodbye considering fans aren't even allowed in the stadium currently. Xavi & Iniesta had immensely warm goodbyes by the club/fans and Messi will not get that. That hurts

Otherwise, I have been pretty consistent in this sentiment. I want to see a happy Messi express himself on the pitch to bring joy to all of us - he hasn't been getting it with Bartomeu but then neither have the fans.

Same for us and dave leaving without a goodbye,difference is he gets a testimonial when it is safe and a statue,i cant image leo will get the same ,it is a shame
