I think I’d of gasped a while back if I was told that this could happen, seriously not arsed, which is the way i think we now approach it... he’s been the one we’ve wanted desperately from day dot but we needed to look past commercial gains, which is now a reality with the team we have

he’d be fucking crackers to not want to play for Pep who is at the peak of his powers and what is being created here is so special, he could also elevate Foden to being the worlds best imo...

Not being arsed, imo, is why we will get him, we aren’t desperate and actually bring more than a paycheque now!

I hope you’re right!

I actually meant via the club's own income, but then I'm not too aware of what the FFP relaxations are exactly.
Besides the already announced extension of the monitoring period from 3 years to 4 (as a one off), nobody knows what the relaxations are going to be. There has to be some change or perhaps scrapping them entirely and a new system brought in. The only thing I'm 100% certain of is that whatever it is, it will not affect us. We're now cemented in place as a self sustained, brilliantly ran club.

Any new system will be entirely beneficial to the skint ‘history’ clubs, and you can bet your life they’ll try to stitch us up while they’re at it. No idea how, probably a £1billion fine for running out of chips, or expulsion from the chimps league for not being £500m in debt.

The Clown has spoken:

Messi's future: “I want Messi to stay, I can't be more or less optimistic. I think he is the best player in history and if you are thinking about his last years of football, you should think about the FCB brand. It will be a personal brand that will transcend when he retires and if it started at Barcelona, for that brand to be consolidated, it should continue at Barça. If I were Messi's advisor, I would say to do everything possible to stay at Barça because that brand will transcend him more. If three or four years go to another brand like City or PSG, he will dilute it. He has a few years playing football, but many years with his brand ”.

After Cristiano's departure, how would Messi's departure affect LaLiga ?
"I rule out big signings this summer, that there may be some exceptionally because there is an exit, as there may be. We cannot be saying that Mbappé is coming, Haaland, that Messi is going to stay… That is impossible. The crisis is global. We try to ensure that the LaLiga brand is above the players and even the clubs. I would like to have Messi, Guardiola, Klopp, Haaland, Mbappé…, but it is not possible”.

Is it possible that Mbappé or Haaland will come this summer ?
“To play golf, yes. I see it as very difficult, but there may be some exceptional circumstances. There is talk that Haaland, Mbappé will be signed… I don't know how, doing magic? A team like Barcelona has to release many players in order to bring in a star. This is basic. The same is not the case for Real Madrid, but it has to have other circumstances to do so. And they are the only two that today can bring those figures. Where are the players going to whom Barcelona can start? There are crises everywhere and except in state clubs, they don't fit anywhere else ”.

Sounds like his bumhole is flapping.

Catalan media is saying that Joan Laporta has found a “Messi replacement” in case he decides to not sign a new contract and that would be Real Betis star Nabil Fekir. They are ready for him to leave.

What Catalan media? Could you provide a link, pls?

Saw it in this French vehicle quoting Estadio Deportivo (actually from Sevilla, where Real Betis is based)
Here's the original article. Reads like a baseless speculation. Most probably Fekir's agent is promoting his player in a local media outlet

It used to be 'follow the money', nowadays it's 'follow the source'. That usually leads to a fair guess of the motive behind the quote, and whether it's believable or not.
