That as well, certainly. Think some people find it easy that Messi would be on a free so no worries, it's the wages that are a main issue. Not forgetting the money we've lost through the covid crisis

They were in Ibiza, Messi and Neymar are great friends, and the others were couple national teammates and Verratti who was also thereWhere's that photo come from that's been doing the rounds though? Messi with all the PSG players
That came out a week or so before the news broke. Messi is on holiday in Ibiza and a few PSG players went there at the same time. It doesn't mean anything that, Wayne Rooney and Joe Hart used to regularly holiday togetherWhere's that photo come from that's been doing the rounds though? Messi with all the PSG players
Oi! Nothing to do with the lovely purple stuff. I reckon he’s a Muffinite. That’s vimto drinkers for you mate. Fucks with their brain.
He came over as part of Soriano's team - he used to work with Txiki and Soriano at Barcelona. He started out here running our commercial department and was considered to have done a good job. He was promoted a couple of years back to Chief Operating Officer. He's not really a public figure so there's no reason that you should have heard of him. He does a lot of business to business press interviews, things like that, rather than with the football press.
Ouch.
Yeah, I’m thinking the same. We’ve just signed Grealish who many say is getting prepped to being the next England superstar. We could also top that this summer by signing the most famous footballer on the planet. City get thousands of new followers by signing them two.It absolutely beggars belief for anybody to believe that Man City would not be in for Messi and I don't care what any journalist or ITK says about this. We are absolutely in for him. There's no possible way that the greatest and most marketable player in history comes up and we ignore him. No chance at all.
Y’know what. When you put it like that. I agree. Let’s see what happens. But let’s also hope that we don’t drop the Kane ball and not get Leo again!

Spot on! Captures my thinking perfectly.Come on mate, there's no way we're not making the phone call. I know that Pep's camp and others will be saying no, I get that. But there's no way we leave a player who generated billions of Euros in his time at Barca and is the most popular player in world football ever who we have been chasing for a decade and decide we're not talking to him. That's madness. There's no way we're run that badly because he hurt our feelings.
Not saying we'll get him, but cannot believe we're not in for him. Heavily belief that City and others will brief we're not. But you know as well as I do that Messi is a once in a lifetime player and it would catapult the CFG's commercial interests into the stratosphere, especially with a New York backend. Soriano and Berrada have probably been walking round with a permanent hard on since they found out.
Because we support Manchester City FC and not Harry Kane's Feelings FC and want what's best for City. It's crazy how many people are falling over themselves just to get this statement signing. No qualms of selling players who've been an important part of our success the last few years and leaving an important incoming transfer hung out to dry because Messi has another one of his telenovela dramatic moments.
And the other threads. What the fuck are you on about?
This thread is like you've decided just to post as much bullshot as possible to see how much you can get past.
The interview seems a little out of sync with our general approach. from what I have heard he is important/impressive guy. Hopefully the club can keep hold of him long term. Thanks for the reply mate. Will have to keep an eye out for him.
I read this aloud in my best Sir Laurence Olivier voice. :)We spend years kissing his arse and tonguing his ring piece and when it finally looks like he's available ..........we're skint.
Typical City haha
