Lisbon meet up..

Not seen a thread for this trip.

So, 6 of us flying out Sunday early from Luton, not booked digs yet. Didn't do the last trip, so any suggestions as to the best area to stay would be very welcome. Obviously, right amongst it with plenty of watering holes is a must.

@Indaparkside - you booked anywhere yet mate?

Looking forward to this one, although Lisbon will have to go some to get anywhere near Porto.

5 of us flying out early Sunday from Manchester, we went last time we played them 0-5 plenty of watering holes you won't have a problem mate, possibly not quite as good as Porto but the result was a lot better :-)
 
Really excited for this one flying on Monday evening after work. First time in Lisbon, so I can't make any suggestions unfortunately.

Weather looks like it'll still be low 20s, so it'll be a very nice get away.

Did the police hold us back after the game last time we were there?

Yh mate we was held back and then escorted by the police back to the subway

It was a pain, 100s of police in riot gear. After the game we were held in for 40 minutes then allowed down to the perimeter gates, which were locked. At first they were letting 20 at a time out before realising we would be there all night. Surrounded by riot police they walked us to the Metro the path getting narrower slowing us down to about 1 mile an hour. Not looking forward to this again at all.
 
Anyone know where the fans will meet up on game day?

I left about 50/60 mins last time (i know, sorry), no issues letting us out. Uber straight back to the centre. Few mates stayed in and they wasn't back with us for another 2 hours or so

Yes they were bastards, marched everybody back to the tube station even if your hotel was near the ground

yep over an hour the last time we played, there ultras outside the stadium were moody due to us thrashing them on the pitch :)

That's why we are giving this one a miss, the missus had a bad accident a year ago broke her leg, getting better but wouldn't trust the Portuguese Paramilitary police to not give her a baton across her legs if she couldn't keep up, like i said absolute bastereds worse than even the Spanish
