I've got an iphone 4 likely to upgrade to 5c. Anyone recommend the best way to connect it to the car stereo to listen to podcasts and music on my daily commute?

As someone has already asked; does your car audio unit have a USB port that you can plug your iPhone (pfft!) into. Or maybe your car stereo is bluetooth enabled, so you can stream your music wirelessly?

Neither 2006 plate so a little old unfortunately.
Have you considered investing in a new audio unit for your car? They're not that ridiculously expensive.

It's your only option, unfortunately :(

Then you will probably need to do some wiring. Car stereos from back then did usually have the facility to add an Aux port, but it is often a bit of a ballache.

You can buy an FM transmitter that you can plug into your phone and the radio will pick it up, but results are variable.
