Manchester City since 2008 Chelsea before that :-)
For me Chuck Berry in 1975 at the Free Trade Hall. Played 3 songs invited some people on the stage then went off never to be seen again

Saw The Farm in a small club on Broad Street Birmingham called believe it or not Burberrys. Absolutely shocking. For some reason they had no drummer so had a drum machine they had to program between songs. They couldn't work out how to do it properly so spent 5 minutes between each song setting it back up. Famous scouse sense of humour wore a bit thin that night.
Saw a couple of good ones there. First Charlatans tour and Paris Angels came through there.

once went with a mate to see kid creole and the coconuts, big mistake

biggest let down was bowie at the arena, truly dreadful

Van Morrison at the Nynex/MEN or whatever it was called at the time on a St Patrick day about 20 years ago
The place was sold out to watch a fucking miserable moody grumpy ****
I heard him at the Bridgwater Hall, a few years ago. He was still in a bad mood.

The Fall at ‘cities in the park’ 91.
The beautiful south - non appearance at same.

Concert redeemed by The Wonder stuff and enthusiasm of others.

Oasis at Heaton Park
Laddishness is one thing but absolute savagery is another
When the girl in front squatted and pissed on the floor three times in 15 mins I started to wonder what else I was squelshing about in
Maybe I was just too old

Bob Dylan in Innsbruck last year. A truly horrific gig that I wish I'd never had the 'pleasure' of attending. Ever since, I've found it difficult to listen to his songs.

I've heard Dylan is awful live. What made it so bad if you don't mind me asking?

Was working in Boston in 1979. Went to a load of concerts including The Cars, Abba, Dire Straits and Eagles.
All big names.
Final concert I saw was Van Morrison. He complained about the sound, lighting and the heat all through the concert.
Finally started complaining about the noise from the audience when they started singing with him.
The other bands that I saw had no complaints at all.

Jamie Jackson doing a reading from his book Night Time Cool at Festival Number 6.

It was that bad I almost felt sorry for him. It’s difficult to fully describe how truly awful it was.

He was ill prepared trying to read his notes on tatty pieces of paper. He didn’t even seem to know his own book judging by the difficulty he had reading it - long, excruciating pauses and getting passages mixed up.

Completely talentless and, what’s worse, completely unprofessional.
