Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Agreed... Txiki is a liability! What he knows about transfer deals you could right on the back of a postage stamp. Even the ones he has managed to limp over the line have been a total disaster!
Well someone agrees with me. 100% it's was fucked up at our end

Nah not having it, City waited far to long to try & get the deal over the line.

2nd June City tabled a bid of £39m + 2m add ons which was turned down.

They then waited over a week to up the bid to £42m +2m in add ons., guess what No deal.

Laurentis came out & said €50m or no deal, that's around £43-45m with no add ons & guess what City never went back for a few weeks by then Sarri had been odd on fav to go to Chelsea.

2 week later he signed for £47m boom.

De Laurentis wanted an amount & City had a few weeks to deal & it never happened.

City could have done the deal for 45m even 50m they blinked & Chelsea went £57m Inc Sari & it was over.

The player & Agent both admitted City wouldn't do the deal.

So your wrong.

And the Dino situation for 1 it's help & fresh legs but it needs to happen in January end of.

Oh & pay the money don't piss about, Jorginio is a class player

Nothing whatsoever to do with transfer fees or salaries , Jorginho was waiting to see where Sarri was going because he preferred to play for the same coach , no doubt if Sarri had ended up at a club like Arsenal who havent won anything of merit for years he would have chosen us . But Sarri ended up at Chelsea a club with an excellent trophy winning record , if we had bid £100m he wasnt coming to play for us if Sarri got a top club job , Jorginho has stated as much in a recent interview . Soriano has made mistakes during his tenure but this transfer was not his fault or the fault of the clubs transfer policy. No matter what you think , the player and his agent make the final decision ,when a club agrees a fee for a player the player has the last say , ever wondered why Zinchenko is still at our club ? We agreed a fee with Wolves and the player turned down the move.

It really is quite extraordinary that you'd see posts on a City forum that see things from a City point of view, it never ceases to amaze me.
Got to agree with Tom on this one. Fernandinho was VERY lucky to escape without a card...

Thought Fernandinho was gonna rip Mane head off when they had handbags. The way he grabbed his head then didn’t apply any pressure was great self control from him. May have snapped a few seasons ago

Mane's a horrible prick. I wouldn't have begrudged fern smashing him one.

I haven been as angry watching a match in my entire life. The dippers are disgusting

Not really related to this thread but the “coach attack” thread is locked.

Amazing how dipper police managed to find & arrest the Italian who attacked the scouser fan outside Anfield

I know you like to come for me but maybe it is an example of the extremely one sided views you will see on here and probably other forums. To claim the ref was terrible and against City isn't even about seeing things from a city point of view, it's called being deluded. He had a decent game and with all the hysteria in the ref thread beforehand probably deserves a bit of recognition.

There was nothing delusional whatsoever about the post you referred to, it omitted the fact that Fernandinho was perhaps lucky not to get a yellow but there were a number of decisions where they got the benefit of the doubt, as is to be expected at Anfield.

You just get a kick out of being contrary and labelling fellow blues as this or that and it's tiresome.

The poster listed quite a few issues the ref missed against City, declaring he was shit and ignoring that we got away with a few ourselves. Biased then not deluded, if you can only watch a game through your teams glasses then you lose any credibility in having a sensible discussion. If you watch that Liverpool game and think he stitched us up then you don't know football. If you can only list things that went against us than for us then you are biased. It is pretty easy. On the whole the ref had a good game, Fernandinho to come away from that game without a card or more is incredibly lucky.

I think the ref missed certain decisions for us but we got away with a few too. I can put emotion to one side when watching a match it is a shame many others cant. You then find yourself enjoying a match instead of selectively picking what decisions were bad whilst the vein in your forehead is popping out in anger.

He didn't, he said the ref favoured the home side ( which he did) , referred to him missing numerous yellow card offences and highlighted a couple of other incidents, one he referred to as debatable.
