our tactics of pushing our fullbacks and midfield so high directly play to Liverpools strengths.
we played ok but we are so wide open to the counter attack that until we change that we wont beat them. Its the same in most games when we play them (except the 1-1 where Mahrez missed the penalty and in that game our fulbacks didnt push as high).
Gundogan again went missing in a big match. He was partly responsible for both the first and third goals (he makes no attempt whatsoever to get to henderson before he crosses and passes on responsibility to Angelino when he should have gone to him). KDB wasnt great either again today and hasnt hit 100% since his return from injury.
Sterling was our best attacking option again but we look short going forward and are no where near as fluid as we have been
Defensively...well its the same story when teams who are strong enough to attack us do so.....Its the floor in Peps plan but he wont change that (and neither should he) but at times (just every now and again) i wish he wouldnt be so attack minded...we would get results in these games if he didnt
