I think we won that game by starting to play with courage. Pep talked about their transitions and I think it had made us too cautious. I understand they have caused us problems with their pace on the break. I think their penalty pissed the team off and they thought with the points cushion they may as well just go for it. Foden replacing the ineffective Mahrez on the right and Jesus pressing them centrally caused the panic and errors and we just ran away with the game.
The only downside was both penalties. Our pathetic misses from the spot are now a real problem, surely we have ONE player who's got the bottle and technique to score from 12 yards? To be caught out for theirs was annoying too. That long ball to the cheat they do all the time and Dias made the mistake of touching him. Once he does he's going into his routine, 10/10 on the score cards! Lesson learned hopefully.
What a great day though, only the second time I have seen us win at the cesspit that is Anfield. Still buzzing now.
