I think Walker AND Cancelo will play here with Cancelo pushed higher up the field. I expect Zinchenko to play over Laporte so he pushes into midfield allowing a back 3 of Walker, Stones and Dias when we have the ball.

Think Jesus is probably the one to miss out up top. Reckon Bernardo will just fill in everywhere and Foden and Sterling will be more of our focal point players up the top of the pitch

I would say there's a very good chance we win this league title by the 6th March.

If we take care of business and win the next 5, it's very unlikely anyone will be within 10 points of us and we'll have a game in hand.
You are discounting the rags too soon ,they get so much help with diving and pens they will be with us all the way

We have some difficult PL games this month. If we DO manage to win them all, we will really be sitting pretty.
I can’t see PGMOL and the corruption brigade allowing that to happen. I expect us to be scrutinised and persecuted beyond fairness.

I'd be happy to have Zinchenko at left back but I think this is what Pep will go with, think he'd rather play a false 9 as we don't need to win, they do, which is why there is a question mark over Jesus or Mahrez, if KDB was fit Bernardo would play there

My Starting 11 would be :

Eddie

Cancelo
Dias
Stones
Laporte

Rodri
Bernardo
Gundogan

Mahrez
Jesus
Foden

Bench- Steffen, Sterling, Walker, Torres, Ferna, Zin, Mendy, Garcia, Doyle.

I believe we will win on the basis that we get fair officiating.

Sadly the PL as a brand will be desperate for us not to win in order to ensure their product is more enthralling to the average global customer as someone threatening to run away with the title isn't good for the league from a commercial standpoint. Due to this and the fact we have Oliver in charge plus Tierney in Stockley Park both of which are very questionable appointments i fully expect this fixture to be corrupted in Liverpools favour.

Prediction :

Liverpool FC 2 (Liverpool given a penalty kick)

Manchester City 1 (City to get a red card)

I doubt it.

We're 3 points ahead with a game in hand, my "if we win the next 5" includes the United game, so that would mean 6 points with the game in hand if they won every game between now and the derby as well.

Personally I don't believe that the United team that's dropped 7 points in the last 5 games is going to win 4/4 against Everton, West Brom, Newcastle and Chelsea with FA Cup and Europa games sandwiched in between. 7 or 8 points out of 12 is what I expect.

Which means if we win the next 5 we would have a 10+ point lead and a game in hand over them.

I don't think people have fully realised how good we have been since November. We've picked up 35/39 points since Stones and Dias became the CB partnership. That's 100+ points a season form for a long time - 1/3rd of the league season. As long as we keep going for another month, no one is getting close to us.

Also please stop the referee conspiracy bullshit, if PGMOL were conspiring to give United the title why did they fuck them over against Sheffield United? The rags got a good goal disallowed and Sheffield United got a goal from the most blatant foul on a keeper you'll see. Why didn't they get gifted a penalty at Arsenal when they had half a dozen appeals? Same vs. Liverpool.

Looks about right that, and if Mane doesn’t play I wouldn’t object to Walker & Cancelo switching sides, Walker can stop Salah cutting inside & get out to TAA with his pace when he try’s to cross from deep, that will also allow Joao to do his thing, he’d twist Robertson inside out

No chance.

United have been awarded 28 penalties in the PL since Solskjaer's appointment. That's absolutely incredible and is not a pure coincidence. In that period, City have had twice as many touches in the opposition's box as United but probably half the penalties. Yes, some decisions have gone against United but many more have gone their way. The best attacking teams in history weren't getting so many penalties.

You clearly havent watched them , the bullshit decisions , retaking pen , the pen after the game has ended , most pens i think in the last yr , the ridiculous help to get into fourth last season , they are shit but there they sre

Yeah and they've won fuck all.

So what is this, the worst refereeing conspiracy in the history of sport? Help them out just enough to not win a fucking thing? Bail them out in games that mean nothing and then let them lose every match that's important?

Get ready. I'll be staggered if the back 4 is different to what I've suggested. Pep's comments about Zin's build up the other week and about us going back to basics in terms of set up (wingers high and wide, full backs in midfield) feel very instructive to me.

And the lead in the league table also affords Pep the freedom to play his best attacking team.
I’ll have you a bet it isn’t that back 4, he will not play that away at Anfield, not a prayer imo.

He will play either Cancelo or Laporte at left back.

Zin is pointless if you’re asking him to just defend all game, Salah would bum him all afternoon. Whoever plays left back won’t be pushing into midfield.

I can't think of any game vs. Liverpool under Guardiola where we've had to defend all game.

Good players can still come alive and Thiago is very dangerous if we allow him to quarter-back. Otherwise, they have zero creativity.

Milner has played the last four games in the middle and is nursing a tight hamstring, so Klopp has a big decision to make on Henderson.

They will be all fired up for one last hurrah, no doubt, but we have a great chance to take them apart if we play smart.

They resemble a team who are borderline still able to get a result against the very best, or being punished and the wheels falling off completely, should City get their noses in front early.

I don't want to see a back three, it makes the one-on-one spaces wide open and Eddie's distribution suffers a lot from it.
False 9 for me, leaving Jesus on the bench, that way we can overload the midfield.
