So if we play to the same level where we drew 2 games against them they won't get near us? Doesn't make sense to me
Well to start with, they were a lot better team last season than they are now.
Selling Mane has changed the way they play, they don't press as aggressively and now teams focus more on stopping Salah, who is not the playing at anywhere near the same level he was last season.

But to answer your post, If you watched the games last season you'd have seen we were a lot better than them and, if they hadn't got help from the refs in both games, we would've deservedly won both and they couldn't have complained.
So, if we play to that level on Sunday, i can't see them getting anywhere near us!

Yes I saw both games last season and in both games we were in control and fucked up, its seems we have an inferiority complex when we play the dippers, our record there speaks for itself, we have gone there several times over the years with a much stronger side than them and come away with nothing

the one thing that slightly worries me about this game is that as good as we have been this season, we are less compact in how we play and we dont press as well. This will give the scousers space in the middle of the park and time to play the through balls that Salah etc thrive off.

They will be improved defensively for not having TAA on the pitch and Robertson will be back as well....Konate has the physicallity along with Van Dyke to control Haaland...think this will be by far his toughest game (and probably their toughest game as well)

Im expecting that Ake may play at left back and Cancello at right back (hopefully)

Bernardo has to start...he hates the scousers and always ups his game even more than normal.

16.30 THE ANFIELD CHASE 3m

MANCHESTER CITY: 11.10 Evs Fav
Settled in mid division, jumped well, pushed on at 10th, won unchallenged.

LIVERPOOL FC: 11.02 9/4
Made running, mistakes at 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, blundered 9th, lost lead at 10th, ran on one paced in closing stages under strong driving to take second, not challenge the winner.

I tend to agree.

I think Pep might play Cancello on the right and Ake on the left, with Ruben and Manny as centre backs.

Personally, I would prefer Akanje as centre back rather than playing on the right.

They might be improved defensively without TAA but Gomez was absolute Cack against Napoli, and he isn't a natural full back. Robertson won't be fully match fit and won't last the game, even if he starts. (I don't rate him much anyway.)

I take your point about Konate, but he's hardly played this season either and he'll never have played against anyone as big, fast, clever and lethal as Haaland. Same with The Dyke, who's right off form. The Dyke's been regressing for most of the last 12 months.

I know you said it's only a slight worry but can you really see them "....controlling..." the Norse footballing God, who'll be champing at the bit after having a week off? I can't.

I know you can have a worry about any game but we are going there as favourites on Sunday so let's accentuate the positive. There will never be a better time to go there.

Back four will almost certainly be Akanji (rb), Ruben, Ake or Laporte (probably Nathan on current form and fitness) and Cancelo (lb)

If we start like we did in both games last season, with Haaland in the side now they wont get away with it this time.
