It wasn't helped by the fact Stones had just come back from injury iirc.

If you're going to play a defence-minded midfield like that you can't have attacking players who want the ball to feet too. It's too passive. If you're going to load up like that, you have to play pace up top and get the ball played into space. The issue at Villa was that no one in midfield had any creative bone and Bernie and Foden weren't able to find any space or make anything happen either.

Doku's not fit which is a shame, otherwise I'd suggest we do something ridiculously defensive and then just task Savinho and Doku with looking to run in behind with Haaland.

Pep will stick to the approach of keep the ball well and we shouldn't get caught on the break. But in the form we're in, if we can't do it against Feyenoord we're fucked at Anfield where 9 times out of 10 we're shite.
 
As I expect a loss I don't care too much.

But I want to see them fight. Not out of control, but physically and fully at it. No nonsense.

Wish - in case we score - the lads don't even celebrate but jog back to the midway line and play on. These days we don't need to celebrate anything til we get ourselves into some shape of proper Man City again.

Any attack on the coach and we should refuse to play the match.

I'd never bet against City whoever we're playing but, for the first time in a very long time, I really can't see anything but a defeat at Anfield.

Our lowest point for years coinciding with their honeymoon period. It's the recipe for a perfect storm.

Get it out of the way and start again with Forest.
