Liverpool away - Hillsborough tribute

I think a banner in sky blue and white saying 'Justice for the 96' would be a fantastic comment from our fans.

Indeed, maybe something for the club to consider paying for.

After all that has come out in recent years about Hillsborough it is astounding that some people still have these opinions of the Liverpool fans in attendance that day.

As you seem completely incapable of understanding an argument on more than one level. Yes I do think that people connected to LFC significantly contributed to the Heysel disaster. Why that means I shouldn't support the victims of Hillsborough I do not understand.

Ironically, you're quite a good example as to why I would be horrified at being stigmatised for the actions of other people who support the same football club as I do.

Thank you for answering the question on my levels eventully.
If you read my posts on this thread you will see that I would not have any intention of disrepecting anything the Liverpool fns may choose to do. I have just expressed my own personal misgivings about why I don't subscribe to your point of view so don't try and conveniently pigeonhole me into some catagory of fan you have dreamt up. I have my own passive views that don't involve joining in with banners etc. Sorry if that offends. And the comparison with 2 girls going to help someone only to have their faces shot off and finished off with a handgrenade.which earned ' a degree of your sympthy' is absolutely incredible. I doff my fucking cap to you

Let me be clear: I have huge amounts of sympathy for the families of those policewomen. Now that's your pitiful attempt to take the higher ground dealt with let's see if you're capable of expressing sympathy for the victims of Hillsborough without obliquely bringing Heysel into it.

-- Sun Mar 23, 2014 10:16 pm --

Actually, rereading your post - do you think that those two policewomen were any less innocent than the people who lost their lives at Hillsborough?

I don't know why Heysel and Hillsborough are being compared.
One was an end full of one set of supporters, in a ground that supposedly met all safety requirements.
The other was a crumbling stadia when Italians we put in a section right next to Liverpool.
These Italians goaded the Scousers, they had blades and when it came on top they ran and the Scousers poured after them.
Had the fences stood and the Italian stood there would have been no loss of life.
End of, that simple.

I hate this attitude that exists in modern society. And actually what happened that day could so easily have been us and the subsequent cover up and police/government behaviour was, imo, an attack on football fans in general.

Kick off is now 13.37pm.

All games that weekend will start 7 mins later as a mark of respect as it is 25 years since the Hillsborough disaster.
This is going to make me sound stupid and ignorant but why 7 mins later can someone tell me :/
Original game was stopped on 7 minutes I believe.

Please do not presume to know my view on this emotive matter. You have your view and I have mind
But do not also assume you speak for the 3k of blues there by wanting a banner And wanting the club to pay for it as well!
Buy your own and display yourself if you feel so strongly

That's like saying if the plane hadn't been invented, 9/11 would never have happened.
