First of all, I don't think 'always the victims' is about tragedies. We all know that. And we know they always seem to push the blame elsewhere. If we want to sing about that, that's fair enough but maybe there's a better way of doing it and a different song could be sung.
Nobody should be singing about tragedies and people dying, it's just shit behaviour. I know when kids ask what's being sung and you tell them, there's a look of confusion as to why anyone would sing about it, why it's okay to do that. It's just not though.
The scousers were wronged by the media over Hillsborough, but that could have been any set of fans. It could have been us, but we were too shit to get to any semifinals around that time. However, because they were wronged and they pushed for the truth for so long, what they ended up with was a fairytale whitewash of what went on. Apparently for the only semifinal in around 30 years, nobody at all tried to get in without tickets and the fans were perfectly behaved. It's nonsense and it's been what's made them untouchable over absolutely anything over the years.
Still, we should mainly stick to singing about us and how good we are. Thatll wind them up more than anything.
