And another old robber threatened a girl
I was there. First goal against us - no top team should concede so easily from a corner - I don't blame Steffen. However, Steffen's howler will haunt him and us as fans for a long time. Shouldn't get beaten so easily on the near post either. Left ourselves a mountain to climb, and our under strength team almost climbed it. Two golden chances, two weak efforts. Why didn't Mahrez take that free kick when he came on ?All 3 goals I put down to Steffen, the first was just a run of the mill looping header & he just stood there flat footed. 2nd was pathetic & 3rd he didn’t spring to his left but most keepers would get.
so integral is the sweeper keeper to how we play that it affected all of our build up play, even the simple passes to full backs to beat the press had no pace or accuracy.
what I can’t think of were any other chances that the Dippers had for a world class display, they were gifted when once again I can think of multiples misses that we had.
Because you and many others obviously don't get that we could have risked DeBruyne etc. and they may have picked up a serious injury that puts them out of the run in for the PL and CL, and we still might not have won - they were obviously battered after the midweek game while Liverpool players were rested, on top of the fact that our match was away. Ederson took a knock and might not have been fully fit, same with others and you don't risk players that are not fully fit when you're chasing the title and CL. So do we try to get through with what we have, or play players who are not ready and risk blowing the lot? There are no guarantees no matter what, but you have to give yourself the best chance of coming out of the season with something, not out of one game. It's not that fucking difficult to work out surely? It was a very respectable scoreline considering the changes we had to make and the fact that half the first choice players were clearly knackered. History is littered with teams who won nothing because it was all one game too far. Pep is clearly trying to make sure that doesn't happen to us.I'm amazed at some of the responses defending pep and the team selection today, trying to spin positives on a complete and utter shitshow. The fact is he's monumentally messed up yet another game of huge magnitude and in doing so has given Liverpool an extra step towards a quadruple.. something that sickens me to say. Seen someone say it 'was a respectable scoreline' are we Norwich or something? Another saying 'one less distraction' distraction to what exactly? Win today and its one more game? Why not just play u18s at Cheltenham back in January? Really dont get why pep is always immune to criticism, especially in these one off high pressure games in which there seems to be a recurring theme of him going against what has made his city teams tick and being stubborn and this costing city time and time again.
Alisson doesn't come close to Ederson in terms of distribution. Pretty sure that Eddie tends to keep more clean sheets as well.Allison regularly makes mistakes and gave the ball away a few times today. Our keeper made a mistake and got punished. All other things aside they always seem to be lucky that way.

Liverpool wins over us are becoming as rare as snowflakes in June. Look at the Pep City trophy haul in comparison to Klopp. And yet it's described as a massive rivalry. Two great teams, but one tends to win more trophies than the other.Fuckin state of this place, we’re still top of the league and in european cup semi
and a week ago we bossed the scouse cunts, all they ‘ve won so far is the league cup but to listen to the fuckin big girls blouses on here we might aswell throw the towel in, well we’re not and we’re winning the league and beating them scouse cunts in the european cup final.
There was shite going on all over the place. They're fucking scumScousers are scum. Some proper pensioner bell ends on every walk. Still think it's 1981. Backward fuckers racially abused my son's mate pre match.
The worst. Blokes my age thinking they are concrete then back down when they might get hurt. Scum. There was shite going on all over the place. They're fucking scum
