Well we played our hearts out. Shame our defence is an expensive shambles.

In the first game, yes. In this game, they were always going to be exposed for 90 minutes. We needed to take more of those chances, because we were obviously going to get fuck all from the referee. Unfortunately, in order to win a game against a decent opponent, we have to absolutely dominate them to make the ref a non-factor.

Problem in the modern game is that the CL is the big one,

League titles don’t matter as much as they used to in the grand scheme of things.

We scored a goal ruled out for offside that was wrong, twice. We also hit the post and had a flurry of chances in the first half. Genuinely didn't get any rub of the green.
