Liverpool (h) - CL QF post match thread

Hi level headed Liverpool supporter here, please don't hate me, I can see why you are all angry at going out, I agree with most of you that the goal should of been given last night and the referees were weak but we have all had decisions go against us in the past, just because it was on the biggest stage it looks and feels much worse, Liverpool have had stone wall pens not given in the prem all season, who knows maybe we could of been a lot closer to you in the league, you move on!! You have to look at yourselves 1st, no shots on goal in the first leg, that is your down fall not the refs

Whether it is ref's or not you would hope Liverpool fans would have liked the correct decision to be made. I'm not overly bothered on the Salah one he was offside pretty much on the half way line and we have to defend better from there in, we had ourselves to blame.

Leroy's last night was poor and it was that decision that changed the game, we needed an early goal (got), to be leading by 2 at the break and having that took away hurt. To overturn a 3-0 defeat you need things to go your way and not against you.

For me 2-0 half time would have made a great second half of nerves, excitement etc. and both sets of fans, the neutrals where robbed of what could have been a great half of football. You also know in the cold light of day you where significantly helped in beating City and you may well you would have beaten us anyway so this just cheapens it.

I have a lot of friends who are Liverpool fans so actually wish you well, but there is a classless section to your club (as there is with a lot), but it was a lot and not a few who damaged the team coach on the way in and I don't think that's right. So if you do go out, I won't be too upset for that part of your fan base.

Cheeseman talking about it on XS Manchester now, if anyone has the stomach - first off referring to the actions on our coach in first leg - 500/600 missiles thrown

We contributed to our downfall but if the big three decisions that went against us had been given correctly then it's a different game.
Now go further and imagine that if in addition to the correct decisions having been made,we had got three major wrong decisions in our favour ( because that is the advantage Liverpool have benefited from), then we actually win that game easily.
It's a funny old world isn't it?

1. Sterling is not overrated. He's a good young english player who tried like fuck tonight and has the ability to be a gamechanger.
2. Jesus is no aguero. He's different. He's 20 years old...lets give him some time.
3. Otamendi needs Stones next to him.
4. Kompany is 3rd choice, I'd have him over Laporte but it's open to debate.
Put it this way if someone came in with £80 mill for sterling I’d sell all day long . Don’t know what stones has done but he can’t get a sniff. All season I have said we miss far too many chances but we have always got away with it because of the chances we create. A lewandowski

dont agree with sterling if £80 mill bid came in I’d snatch there hand off. All season we have missed far too many chances but we have always scored enough (think back to West game home Huddersfield away and Burnley away ) lucky to get away with them points in the end . Against scum lewandowski Kane or even vardy score them goals and then we are champions Now instead of now making it difficult. Said it all season we need a direct striker to change the game . Think next season Laporte will cone into his own and Bernardo has been quality but we are nowhere near greatest premiership team.

Again, ignoring the fact you didn't have a shot on target in the first leg, it wasn't a Liverpool player reffing the game so don't take your anger out on Liverpool

Congratulations on winning a quarter final

Of course you’ll win fuck all as usual

2 legitimate goals ruled out.
1 stone wall penalty.

And one of those goals was a huge game changing one. Instead our manager is sent packing to the stands and the atmosphere completely changes.

Over the 2 legs you were marginally better. You got the rub of the green though, and in a big way.

And can I remind you that you'll win fuck all this season just like the last 15 years.

We have 2 pots. So go fuck yourself.

Otherwise thanks for coming.

I am a city fan but jesus, people need to stop harping on about the coach. This is an open forum and we sound like a load of mourinhos. If we would of not been beat in that first game there wouldnt of been a wimper about that coach, we have a near 400 page thread about it. Turn it in lads and start fighting fire with fire.

We are city arent we?!
Jog on,you are not a blue, take the others with you

For the delusional vermin of victimpool, it was their cup final. Let’s hope they get Real, but we all know they’ll end up with Roma. I want to see them get taken apart with Ronaldo scoring a hat trick or Edin popping in a couple and bullying VVD.

Some thoughts.

1) Sane should have been running full pelt at Trent after Trent got the early yellow. Target him to get him sent off.

2) City zipped the ball about beautifully in the first half, Liverpool couldn't get a touch. Unlucky not to go 2-0 up. Bernardo Silva played extremely well.

3) I felt it was only a matter of time before Liverpool got the away goal which killed the tie. Next time, City must make away goals a priority. Roma didn't have to worry about that against Barca, they only needed 3 because they got the away goal at Camp Nou.
Trent had him in his pocket twice to be honest, don’t think Sane could do him.

Even if they avoid real and get to the final will enjoy their pain when thousands of them spend six months of benefits to get to Kiev only for Ronaldo to dry bum them

I seem to remember City scoring at Anfield and it being wrongly deemed offside, Liverpool scored 1 that was offside and counted. Add that to City's disallowed last night and you get a lot of pissed off people added to a media wankfest over Liverpool. I'll give credit to Liverpool for taking their chances but I still firmly believe City were shafted by appauling officiating that hugely impacted the outcome.

But thats the problem, he should've had been running at him from then on, not twice.

that Trent Arnold guy was humiliated by Rashford when they played.

In these two games vs Liverpool he looked much better than Kyle Walker.

I cant understand this.

My Bluemoon link must be corrupted, I seem to have signed into RAWK.... Not sure why you felt the need to come here and add your two-penneth.... Finger's crossed you'll get a fucking good hiding in the semi... That would make me feel better.

We had no shots on target? Apart from the perfectly good goal that was disallowed you mean? Deluded ****

Probably better at defending left footers than right footers.

Pep charged with communicating with the bench after being sent off.
Bet he gets a fine immeasurably bigger than anything Liverpool get.for organising a stoning and they get for their fans throwing flares.
