Liverpool (H) Post-Match Thread

I didn’t watch the first half. Couldn’t be arsed with the scouse love-in or the guard of honour shite. Watched Bremen instead (Mrs Innsbruck is a Bremen fan), then turned it over the second half. Just watched the guard of honour on YouTube :)
Brilliant!

you can tackle from behind if you win the ball only ? but if you catch the player and he goes down then its a foul and a yellow card if it was like on foden last night > simple the VAR team got it so wrong ? the referee got it wrong in not seeing the foul in the first place and waving play on

Even if he saw the foul he'd have waved play on for the advantage. If he'd seen the handball he should have stopped play - either for the foul if he saw that, or for the handball leading to a goalscoring opportunity. At least that's how our idiot referees interpret the law. They're simplifying it for next season anyway - gone is the reference to "gaining possession/control" and "create" a goalscoring opportunity.

The new law:

It's handball if a player
"• after the ball has touched their or a team-mate’s hand/arm, even if accidental, immediately:
• scores in the opponents’ goal (or)
• creates a goal-scoring opportunity"

There's a "clarification":
"If an attacking player accidentally touches the ball with their hand/arm and the ball then goes to another attacking player and the attacking team immediately scores, this is a handball offence;
• it is not an offence if, after an accidental handball, the ball travels some distance (pass or dribble) and/or there are several passes before the goal or goal-scoring opportunity."

That last bit sounds like a belated redefinition to say that Liverpool's "handball" goal against us was OK (except it was deliberate handball by TAA).

But it leaves all sorts of scope for VAR to make it up as they go along.

"Dribble"? What exactly is a dribble? Can you dribble without an opponent? How close to the ball does the player need to be?
"Immediately"? How long is that?
How far is some distance?
How many is several?
and/or?

("Or" if it's Liverpool; "and" if it's us...)

That horrid **** Robertson was exposed so badly last night, his positioning was schoolboy class at best, loved Watching Foden and the rest Annihilating the fuck pig....!

I’m not a fan of this utter ****, hope it comes across well ..

Yeah. He seems to go out to try and hurt players if things arent going his way as well...snide little shit. He is one of those players no mattrr how good he is, Id never want him anywhere near our team

Watching again, just paused at the 21st minute, apart from the hit on our left post, those scouse rats only way is hoof after hoof, running and inshallah.
The soapdodging classless thunder cünt Robertson can't even have one hoofing with accuracy. Virgin var Dick the same. Over rated lot if anything.
On top of that the rag rat in the commentary saying dippers back five are way superior, fuck off.
If Jesus'd saved his onside we've already been 2 nil up. Let us watch the rest of the game.

He kicked Raz near the corner after the ball went out . Sly hacker

I not reading every post

So, if Foden touches the ball with his hand caused by the fact he was fouled, then why do they get the free kick?

Same with spurs v Sheffield United

I don’t watch the scousers that much, I don’t have time to watch any games that don’t involve City. What I noticed was dick van dyke appears arrogant for the whole 90 minutes even when he’s just stroking the ball around the defence,as if it’s the easiest thing in the world when in fact he looked one pass away from a disaster all night. He was also badly out of position for the fourth yet made no effort to recover. Maybe it’s just the way he carries himself but laying off ten yard balls then strolling about puffing your chest out doesn’t make you the world’s greatest

Was wondering about that during the game. Would VAR have had to rule it out if they had scored from the (incorrectly awarded) free kick?

My sentiments exactly mate, he gives it out in spades but cries like a bitch when some comes back.. His favourite party trick is shoving people into pitch side hoardings, which I have yet to see him punished for...

Don't get me wrong but he is a very good defender. However he has been built up into this almighty centre-back and the best in the world by the fawning dipper press.

What they fail to realise is that he has been protected by 2 shielding midfielders all season.

That didnt happen the other night because we by passed their midfield easily- and look what happened

He was made to look as standard as they come

I don't think var can interfere with those decisions.

We'd actually have been better off if Alty had awarded a penalty for the incident. Then the whole thing could be wiped out and the diving twat could've been booked.
