Come on City, the Boys in Blue never give in, they fight to the end. Let's see you do it, for all of us but in particular for those hardy souls who were at Monaco. They deserve it even more than those of us who had to watch at home for one reason or another.
We do not deserve to be called top club in PL if we just fold every time we face quality opposition - we have not beaten others in top 4 yet this season - Spurs/Chel/Liv.
Look how Spurs get a soft penalty again, then don't concede a clear one. It'd be nice if we actually get given a penalty against Liverpool. So many times we've been fouled in the box and got nothing from refs. We never get fucking pens this season.
I've not been less confident of a result all season. Even if we do somehow outplay them they'll get a lucky decision that allows them to nick a win anyway.
Dr Martens on = Check
Cat in close proximity = Check
In all seriousness though, I just can't be confident at all about today. It's one of those games where we have the opportunity to take points from the dippers, take advantage of the Arse's loss and keep the pace with the likes of spurs. That means that we'll fuck up somehow. We've seen it time and time again over the last 18+ months. I still think that when it comes down to games that really matter or when it comes to facing any of the 'Big boys' there is still the lingering smell of a weak mentality Peller's set-up. It's yet to be shook out of the system.
I hope to be proved entirely wrong and hope we give it a bloody good go rather than allow the game to just pass us by. Anticipating plenty of frustration as 3 clear as day penalites on Sterling are turned down and several of ours pick up soft as shite bookings because as usual we'll be getting fuck all from the officials.
