I don't think any of them watched the game, and I don't think any of them expected to talk about us. Aaron Mooy a failed attacking signing? He's a midfielder and he was a CFG player.

I get the feeling we are really flying under the radar, no one seems to have seen any of our games except Leicester and Leeds. No talk of 4 clean sheets in a row when they devote loads of time to Chelsea's 5 in a row.

No one commenting on Dias or Torres hitting the ground running or Cancelo emerging.

I don't mind it, and it won't last long, but perhaps the game in hand and being midtable is just lulling them into the false idea we're not improved from last season.

As for the match, I think Liverpool are stronger than we like to believe. And we still don’t play our best football by far.
Even in the latest 4-0 win they had the best of chances.

IMHO it’s pretty even stuff. But any naïeve stuff like Atalanta or the slow build up play we seem to use a lot lately and is easy to defend, and we will get nowt from this one.

I hope so. It helped us in 2014 when everybody conveniently ignored that we were only so far back due to having two games in hand.


Historically we've done well under those circumstances. We've done well under others too but not as consistently.


Although if we win on Sunday and continue our improved form it's unlikely they ignore us for too long as you've already suggested.

The confidence is coming from the fact we can now field a defence any team would be proud of,one which provides stability and reassurance throughout the team.If Pep selects the forwards who put a shift in,then i can't see us coming away with anything less than 3 points.

Personally I want a these 8 players starting: Eddy, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Ake, Kevin, Torres, Sterling... The final 3 is debatable.

My preference: Phil, Rodri, Bernado.

I put a team up earlier,a bit leftfield as it was 3 at the back,but it would be the same players up front.

Interesting formation. Im not a fan of formation changes against top clubs. We never do well when we switch up like that.

But after a few well drooled games, that squad can do some damage.

No,i don't think he's in great form and he never does well against Liverpool.I think Torres and Bernardo can retain the ball and contribute to the press better.
