Surely most tourists who would go there go either for A/The Beatles history B/It's football teams C/ stags or hens, I have never heard of anyone going to Liverpool because its UNESCO heritage site

The whole Unesco thing was a joke anyway. To lump Liverpool in alongside such iconic sites as the Taj Mahal is laughable.
To then use Everton as an excuse is ridiculous. The area where the stadium will be built is almost derelict, out of the main Dock area and will create employment also.
It's the only worthwhile development that has happened in the city for years and unlike the intentional decline of another football stadium area in the city.
