Liverpool pay City £1 million in "spy" settlement for hacking - biggest PL scandal

Simple way of looking at it
We didn't leave the back door open it was locked, Liverwoods came equipped
Only if the offenders details and passwords were deleted from City's system after they left. Otherwise you presumably just carry on signing in as normal.

Don't be bloody stupid, i'm a blue. The difference is that i have a relevant degree and experience in network administration and i'm just giving my insights from that viewpoint. Pool can go burn in hell as far as im concerned. The reflections i made though was that severity of punishment would typicly depend of form in which it happened especially if that suggests a concerted pre planned effort.
I never claimed you weren't a Blue bud so I don't know where that came from, just a simple search of this forum would have given you the necessary information as to how it all unfolded.

Those are just my posts of course (there's plenty of others). I'm not sure where it came from but there's also claims that 100-200 log-ins were recorded over an 8 month period. That isn't small time given the money involved in football.

I may have said this previously on here but I do wonder was the reason City didn't pursue this at the time was because it is a criminal matter and as such the ex employees who hacked could face arrest/court etc.

City didn't want them to face legal preceedings but still wanted compensation for the stolen material.

I still can't get my head around why it was buried at the time.

Because Liverpool put lawyers on to every media outlet to keep them quite, this is an actual fact as confirmed by one of the journalists recently.

They were using other people's log in details not their own old ones
