Ballotelli putting on quite a show against Liverpool. Looking for a move maybe?

Worth a punt for us if cheap. He's, well, eccentric, and an attention magnet but I don't think he's cancerous or harmful. Doesn't come of as as an asshole at all. Plus we could do with a character. I think Pellegrini would've been able to work with him if he'd stayed--I think it's authoritarian type managers (Mancini, Mourinho, Butthead, AVB, etc) who he would clash heads with.

If Bony is 20M+, I'd rather risk Balotelli for slightly lower.

Wonder why he wants to leave Italy though. Is he just the type of player that tires of a place quickly?

It's all over the Sunday Express:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/494825/I-m-a-Mario-fan-Brendan-Rodgers-confirms-Liverpool-want-Balotelli" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football ... -Balotelli</a>

'I'm a Mario fan! Brendan Rodgers confirms Liverpool want Balotelli
BRENDAN RODGERS has revealed Liverpool are interested in signing AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, who was previously a target for Arsenal.
The Reds are still looking to beef up their frontline after a move for Loic Remy broke down.
Balotelli, who is believed to be up for sale, is the sort of player that excites Rodgers.
"Balotelli has all the qualities [I like]," Rodgers said.
"He’s 6’3”, he’s quick, his touch is terrific, he can score goals and he’s still so young.
I saw that in this time at Inter as a young player and obviously going to Manchester City when we had a real close eye on him there.
"He’s a big talent."

Milan are thought to be willing to accept £14million for Balotelli.'
Not bad price at £14 million but still high risk - high reward signing and he doesn't look like he has matured much since he left City. Maybe a little but not much.

And we will get £1.4 million if its 10% if its 20 % sell on fee clause we get £2.8 million. not much but everything counts now with the fucking FFP

Does he want to leave or do AC want rid? He's a decent player but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

14mil isn't a bad price for any striker so probably worth a punt. However I can't see him fitting into L'pool's quick system

You just have to love Brenda :)

Classic in the Telegraph.

THE BIGGEST GAME IN THE WORLD between THE TWO BIGGEST CLUBS IN BRITAIN

“It’s more than football. It’s life. It is two cities, not very far apart, but historically they have always been huge rivals,” said Rodgers when asked by American reporters to explain the competition between the clubs.

“It’s arguably the biggest game in the world and for it to be here in the United States is wonderful for the supporters and the organisers. They are the two biggest clubs in Britain and two of the biggest in the world so it will be a fantastic game and we are looking forward to it."

It perpetuates the myth and sells shirts and tickets. We may hate it and know it is bullshit but it works. The media love it and to simple armchair fans worldwide they believe it and go out and buy the shirt, because they want to be seen to wear the shirt of one of the 'Biggest clubs in the world.' If you chant the mantra long enough people become brainwashed and believe it,it has worked for religion for centuries.

Lol Brenda, what a total dick. He's well and truly been sucked into the Liverpool cult way of thinking. It's a poxy friendly match lol. You keep telling yourself that Brenda, that wreathpool are the biggest club in the galaxy. And we will keep winning the prem!!!!

That what I thought he would say one thing with him is he knows how to spin it for the fans and media bet he has read up on all past winning managers at Liverpool! One thing about him he is dedicated and he could be a top manger but he needs to win something very soon..

Maybe they should just do away with the football side of things completely?

Them yanks have sense chaining that tree down..scoucers around don't you know..
Good god didn't realise it was two different wreaths thought it was same one .its not the laying of the wreaths that's wrong its the big scarf /banner that's so disgusting. Can you imagine if we as a club had done that over in Munich the other year we would have been slaughtered.

Its also his looking at the camera, as if to say this is a press opportunity, are they photographing me, rather than simply lay the wreath but they are taking the piss with the scarf/banner advertising their tour on it. Poor taste but its what we have come to expect from them
