Finally bumped into my only Liverpool supporting mate, who had kept a very low profile since Saturday.
During some light-hearted banter about the game (haahahah) I pointed out to him how similar they are to the rags.
‘What do you mean’? He enquired.
I pointed out that they both rely on one world class player each, they both have high-profile rent-a-quote media darling managers, they both have fans who bang on tirelessy about ‘istreee’ they both got to cup finals this year, and both have nothing to show for it.
After a moment he blindsided me with a response you couldn’t have predicted.......
‘Wait till next season’

We need to lay this Anfield hoodoo to rest good and proper next and batter the scouse w@nkers. Got a feeling the players will be well up for beating the Dippers next season.

That was class but I had to check out the Stoke one reading some of the comments and I can see why:
It is kind of copying Adam Buxton's shtick but it was never that original anyway as much as I enjoy his stuff.

To be fair he's one of the more reasonable LFC fans, if more of them were like that I wouldn't find them half as annoying... The same can't be said of his mate on RedmenTV the lasting memory I have of him in the glasses was him giving our club and Raheem a bitter tirade outside the etihad after they beat us 1-4:
Wasn't that when Klopp gave it the "boom" talk too? Talk about bitter.
And don`t forget Keita. That`s 4 fantastic signings. I don`t think they`re capable of being consistent throughout a whole season, but it will be hard to play against them next year

They didn't do too badly against us this season. I'm hoping their new signings change that dynamic and they just become more like every other team in the league for us
This will probably happen. The thing most teams have struggled with against them is the fast balls in behind. They started doing that because their midfield is piss poor and workman like. With better players in there they’ll try and work through the team more.
