My hate for all things scouse is legendary but I have to say that is one fantastic result and this time they deserved it, I really don't care if they win, but I wonder if this result will get to our players somehow, I know it's got to me, o and by the way I have wiped my fanny.
 
What a game, performance and victory. You cannot take it away from them, that was one of the greatest Euro nights since I met that American woman in Prague.

Still think Ajax will do them.
 
BBC Breakfast this morning completely over the top reaction and nauseous to the extreme.
Come on City, Sunday is the one they REALLY want. Just do it.
 
Liverpool out Barca'd Barca yesterday with their tactical fouls, players diving every where, some luck and moments of quality. They get my grudging respect.

Barca played like United but without the attacking flair and defensive stability of Ole's team.
 
Isn't it amazing what you can achieve when 0-3 down from the first leg, especially when the ref's aren't bent! A very begrudgingly well done(to team not the rats) But we all know it's the league you want.. BUT YOU'RE NOT HAVING IT !!

Spot on with that last line. If we win the league and then go on to complete a domestic treble then they can win the Champions League for all I care. I’ll take that outcome all day long. Plus if they win it for a 6th time it’ll piss off United fans no end. The 5 times thing has never bothered me anyway as I don’t see it as our battle - it’s a dig at United.

Obviously, I’d sooner Ajax win it though!
 
Bedrudgingly I say well played. One thought though, aside from how poor Barca were, is that they even had immense luck with their players being injured. Saturday Salah has to go off at the end of the game and up pops Origi to net the winner and last night Robertson, one of their best players on the night has to go off and wijnaldum scores a brace.
Luck evens out over the course of a season? They'll have to have a heck of a lot of bad luck in their two remainng games for that to be the case.
 
Not only was Coutinho awful, but he clearly wasn’t up for it.

Raz has had poor games whenever he’s gone back to Klanfield, but he’s never hidden.

Just shows how it would have been if they'd won the league.
How was the presentation ceremony last night? They did win it didn't they?

I would 100% support the Spuds, no problem wanting them to win, I think they may do it tonight and give the Dippers a real game in the final. They were the dominant team at Candlepool a few weeks ago in the second half, they could stop these twats winning a trophy.

I think you just let them enjoy this one. It's a huge result that nobody really saw coming especially with Salah injured. I don't think I'd expect any set of fans to show much humility in these circumstances. I hate Liverpool but i'm finding it quite liberating to stop caring and just accept that they did well. As long as we win on Sunday I don't really care who wins this competition. Actually saw quite a lot of Liverpool fans being very complimentary of Vincent Kompany in the comments section of the Guardian report yesterday so they're not all bad.
 
Messi must be looking round that team thinking what the fuck am I doing here. The worst Barca team I’ve seen in a long time.
 
How does a team that has lost 4 games in an actual competition get such plaudits.

It shows to me that the CL is nothing more than a glorified Checkatrade trophy.

Two games City lost and are out. Dippers scrapped through courtesy of a last minute block by the goalkeeper v Napoli.

Do I sound bitter, maybe but the above includes some facts.

Dippers v Spuds or Ajax in Madrid equals a battlefield around that city. Good luck with that
