No, it wasn’t a nightmare, City did win the title, and Liverpool did finish in 2nd place on 97 points.(trophy)

 
I find it a bit weird that the Klopp and their players don’t seem heartbroken about missing out yesterday. Instead they are acting like they’ve achieved something. They should be going away pissed off they threw away a decent lead and didn’t have the nerve to keep their foot on the peddle from December onwards. Is that the mentality of potential champions, they will dine out on this. If they win the champions league it will deflect away from the difficult questions they should be asking themselves as to why they let City back in.

Pep didn’t have a break after the first season he had here and got to work on masterminding the first part of being back to back champions. Klopp will spend the summer taking in the plaudits of his plucky built in shoe string budget Liverpool side. That is why they won’t get near us next year.

Be nice to think the refs will do their job next year. VAR has to knock a few of their points off. I wish Kompany would piss off as well. His head annoys me. Should have been sent off at the emptyhad against us and there is the league win we crave. While we are at it Aguero annoys me as well, spent the majority of his career at Man fucking City. Blood money obviously trumps ethics.

I think I feel the same way? Been trying to wait a bit before deciding how I really feel, but I’m surprised not to feel too bad this evening.

It feels more like an accident than anything, that we don’t have the title. Like a test match where you’re well on top only for the last two days to be lost to rain. That’s it, actually - City are just a thing that’s there, but isn’t actually part of the game itself. We were certainly second, but it’s as if there was no winner, like all those Tours de France. It’s hard to get too despondent about it.

Why feel sad for them? They've got their hooked claws on something I've not seen our club lift since I was a child, and have been waiting ever since to see us do it again. run our season back, and 100 out of 100 seasons we win it, and win it comfortably with 97 points, but here these absolute shower of c*nts are, bending the rules around them so they can buy their way to something that's breaking the hearts of many a supporter of this club to see us lift. We get 97 fucking points and it gets us second. Second is nowhere. It's nothing. How is that even possible? Some people have been waiting their entire existence and have never seen us win the league, we get to what is regarded, as I say, 100 out of 100 times, a guarantee to lift the thing, and yet here we are. I can't compute that. I can't bring myself to give them cheating, plastic, league ruining scumbags any kind of small credit whatsoever. If that makes me a bitter person, then fuck it, I'm bitter. But I'm justified in it. The thought of us improving again (how, how can that even be possible when you lose once?) and losing out again, because these wankers will drop another half a billion to strengthen is galling. I'm sorry, but I just can't find a silver lining in any of this. I'm fucking gutted, but more than that, angry.

I’ve had too many years of false dawns and kicks in the teeth to celebrate before the trophy is in the bag. It even happened this season, as I expected us to beat Spurs over the two legs.
