They are a very good team. It’s just that we are better
They fucked up when they settled for a draw at Old Trafford despite 1) United being shit to start with and 2) United having to make all their subs in the first half
They just couldn't play Utd's second team. Just as they couldn't play in the long grass. Or the wind. Or the bubbles. Or the snow.
If the fucked up, they fucked up 7 times.
It's no good them crying about that now - their hopes were denied them they were seven points clear, when they had chance to go ten points clear.
No time for the self pitying twats.
If we forego the ref's who turned a blind eye to the Salah dives, the opposition goal keepers throwing balls into their own nets, or dropping the ball onto their strikers' feet, we can say Liverpool have been a decent team this season - which is more than the bitter, self pitying scousers can say for us, or any other team they have faced.
But, the fans ultimately let their side down when they show complete and utter disdain to their opponents, when they launch their bitter tirades, when they claim they have been cheated, when they brick and bottle opposition team busses, when they set off fireworks outside the opposition teams hotel's.
Ultimately LFC deserve better fans than the ones they have, the one's who have learned nothing since Hysel, the one's who respect nothing but their own sense of misplaced privilege - spurred on by a biased media machine who stoke the fires of Liverpool's self importance.
It's ironic they are looking forward to the Champions League final, having not won a Championship in 29 years - but they are even self entitled to that.
They talk about, and embrace, Pride in their Club, and critique a club whose Pride goes back to a team in the third tier of football who fought their way to be the best team in the world, and they criticize how we got there without ever fully understanding that Pride is gained through something more than winning, something more than the trophies we can show to the world - that Pride is watching a beautiful team play the beautiful game with their fans behind them win, lose or draw.
But then, what can you really expect from a fanbase who openly threatened one of their own players for slipping on the grass, a player who needed police protection from his own fans? That isn't Pride... they might call it Pride, but it's something else entirely.
And these are some of the reasons why 99% of football fans wanted City to win the League.....
