I think we've been a bit unlucky with "easy" draws as well. We haven't played a top side in Europe since Barcelona in 2016. I think Madrid is exactly the game we need, the biggest name possible, the tie of the round with everyone watching and time for our players to deliver.

Ref allows it to go by acknowledging the lino but no indication to opposition that it's play on. Instead of putting the ball down to take the free kick the keeper is allowed to punt it upfield from his hands and Salah then goes on to score. I'm not sure that level of advantage would have been allowed to many other teams? It gained them at least 5 seconds and denied the opposition the chance to regroup
