Who said anything about promoting? He involves young players in the first team squad, instead of getting a couple of senior backups. He did the same thing at Dortmund. Time will tell if it will work as well as it did with us @ Dortmund .

Errr, you did.

Your exact words were: "Klopp wants to keep the squad small in order to allow young players to rotate in to the team".

Rotate in to the team you said, not squad

Perhaps the dippers have hacked into his account and changed the wording of his post ? They have form for that sort of thing allegedly

the game coming up at anfield is going to be one hell of a game ?? and i can see the players kicking off when things start to go liverpool's way, VAR will be working in micro vision and every little thing city do will be highlighted and used against us, the level between the teams is in the VAR and the match officials so city have to keep on there feet and take our chances

i would take a draw or loss i just don't think we have enough with the injuries ??? but i would love to see some of the city players kick lumps out of there players and giving them shit and leaving something on them, this game could be like the united vs arsenal games from the past and no love lost or any quarter given and we must give as much back to them

You have to love these myths that fans of certain clubs pedal to try and create something that simply isn't true.

Liverpool a club that promotes youth? What a joke. Other than Alexander Arnold i cant think of one player from their youth setup in the last decade that has done anything. Promoting Klopp as a champion on youth is utter rubbish, but jut like their famous atmosphere, their fans live behind a veil of cultish myths and lies.
Their Youth Policy is legendary, Jay Spearing is now captain of Blackpool and Jon Flanagan has made 18 appearances for Rangers in the Fish and Chip shop league in the last two years.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is also speaking to the media now and was asked about Jurgen Klopp's earlier comments that there are too many games for top-flight players.

"I agree," he said. "If we have bigger squads, how do we pay them? We need less fixtures, less competitions, more recovery.

"But I have been in meetings and it's always the same. We just talk about it.

"I'm completely with Jurgen when he makes these statements, It's too much. I had to prioritise Ilkay Gundogan for the last game - no Kevin [de Bruyne], no Silva. Other clubs do the same."

Pep agrees with Jurgen..... might be some people on here not too happy with that stance!

How many appearances (including sub appearances) have so called youth team players made for Liverpool this season excluding alexander-arnold (he's been a regular first team starter for 2 seasons now).

PL = 0
CL = 0
EFL Cup = 10

Compare that to city, who lets be honest, Pep is slammed by a lot of people including some City fans for not giving youth a chance.

PL = 4
CL = 1
EFL Cup = 8

So hardly great for city youth, but its better than Klopp who you claim likes to promote youth and give them a chance.

Well no, but then based on those comments. I don't think Pep thinks the same way you do.

Pep has also said 'We need less fixtures, less competitions'

So I imagine if we were in the same situation next year, Pep would also be unhappy at the scheduling. I don't know what the answer is, The League Cup has been around for many years, to just toss it aside would feel wrong to me. But it's safe to say, many other teams in Liverpool's position now would also be airing their con

Haha! What’s this ‘we’ business?
