There’s a few blues in Warrington ;) I and will fucking love winding up my next door neighbour here when we win the league.

I live in Warrington too. It's a good mix of City, Dippers, Scum and a few Everton. Always good banter at work but it's always pretty good natured.

I think the main reason most, if not all fans of other clubs DO NOT want Liverpool to win the League is down to how much they then RAM it in your face how no other club deserves to win anything ever and that silverware's only rightful place is in the trophy cabinet at Anfield. It's the arrogance and unbridled gloating that makes them so detestable.

Case in point ...

I’ve had fans of Palace, Chelsea, Brighton, Notts Forest, Plymouth, Leeds and even rags pleading with us to win the league. It’s a myth that everyone wants the wall pushers to win it.
This,it’s all being pushed by the media,my only conclusion is they are being paid to push this myth or they are red scouser supporters, come to think of it it’s probably both ..

Utter fucking prick.

I still have this uncomfortable feeling about Klipperty - nothing to do with football though. I believe he has some kind of mental disorder and there's more to this man than we'll probably ever know. I think if you scratch beneath that facade that he puts on in public you will find a man with some serious flaws in his psyche.
After a victory he stands there wearing his happy-go-lucky, 'everybody's best mate' persona, vigorously shaking hands with anybody and everybody, cheerfully slapping his players on the back and grinning like a demented hyena. But after a defeat he glares angrily at the reporter/reporters, trying to intimidate them, like one of those plastic 'hard-men' you get (Ronnie- "you fucking want some" -Pickering).
He has thinly-veiled digs at us (and one or two others, but mostly us), almost saying the word 'conspiracy' but skilfully avoiding it at the very last second for fear of recriminations...unlikely given he's a darling of the media and always good for a soundbite, like a modern day 'Twitcher' Redknapp.

Whatever it is that's eating away at him (beneath that boy-next-door image he likes to portray), it will erupt one day, somewhat spectacularly, and the world will see the REAL Klipperty - probably running a motel somewhere, stuffing birds, harbouring the long-dead corpse of his mother and waiting for Janet Leigh to run the shower.

As long as his only title is the Carabao Cup for this season he can be and act whoever he wants for me.

I believe they are hated by all other teams supporters, and all this talk about neutrals want them to win is bullshit. Case in point is a Hammers fan, normally quiet and reserved, but mention Liverpool (and MUFC) and they are the 'Red Shite'. Says it is because growing up in Cornwall, it was rammed down throats by glory hunters all the time.

He's a **** for what he said after we won at CAS.

Well another match day over and its , as you were.
Reading the last few pages and going through the media again I must confess to agreeing with many about the general content and tone of comments regarding this title run in. However, I got to wondering why this was.

Contrary to the general tone on here, which if i was trying to be a WUMMER, I would suggest was almost playing the LiVARpool victim card, I dont actually think it is a bias in the media. I think it is the bigger thing of a media that no longer simply reports the news, but instead tries to make it and direct it.

It is almost asif the whole media has become like Talksport, say something controversial to get a response, big up another club or manager, highlight quotes simply to create more angst , rivalry and general dislike/hate........... Click bait ahoy!....... and sell more content, advertising space and get more callers tpo justify their existence.

Yes, this existed on a smaller scale throughout the years but looking back I wondered if it started with Ferguson and was then amplified by the beats that has become the Premier league. Fergie started the needle, the "mind games" and then along came the likes of Wenger, Dalglish, Mourinho etc to bring about these rivalries (shades of Clough/Revie, which the media lapped up and perhaps shaped the way things have now become).

The fact is City have been ahead everyone else for the last 10years or so with the odd blip. The media and the premier league dont want that and so will do their utmost to big up anyone to create a story. Going on about us being the best team , best defenders etc, there is a case of boosting morale of the players but it doesnt cover the fact that you lot have won a damn sight more and it is for us to challenge and push you. This whole quad thing is the perfect example. City are champions, they are top of the league by a point and the title is in your hands. You are in the ECL semi and have a great chance to reach consecutive finals. Simply reporting that is safe and does nothing to create the rivalry and antagonism.

In the words of Mike Skinner
"Geezers need excitement
If their lives don't provide them this, they incite violence
Common sense, simple common sense"

Personally I take pleasure in the simple excitement of the run in being so close and whatever way it goes it will have been another great season, perhaps not as wonderful for me if it stays as it is...but a damn sight more exciting than it looked in January.
