Also the pens inside the stand exacerbated the problem, as those coming in late didn’t spread out, but instead headed for the pens straight in front of them.
I have always thought that it would never have happened if the game was played at Maine Road and Liverpool had the Kippax. No division of that by fences made it far safer than Hillsborough.

Salah and Van Dijks new contracts in my opinion are why clubs should stick to the opinions on the people they pay millions a year to to make judgements based of the data they create and receive from a player they see day in day out, not 90 mins a week.

They bowed to fan pressure over those two players and it's evident as day their time at the the very highest level is over.

They are to them what De Bruyne and Walker were to us last season.
They're not that good

Liverpool would never sell to The Saudis and accept dirty oil money and piss poor human rights

Liverpool's main sponsors have been caught and fined THREE times for money laundering terrorist organisations. They sold Nunez to a Saudi club. If the money is offered they would normally accept

The only reason they didn't sell Salah or Van Dijk was to appease their cultist fan base who would of gone mental if they did which is one of their biggest mistakes

I was being sarcastic ;)

Didn’t Maine Road have the highest percentage of seats than any other league grounds in the country at the time. A much safer option, you had Old Trafford as well, why The FA don’t seem to be taking flack for their decision making and lack of due diligence is mind boggling. Before any member of South Yorkshire police contrived to cover up and make false statements on that day, The FA never bothered to check for a safety certificate for Hillsborough, which there wasn’t a valid one.

Emile Heskey on BBC Sport - he sounds almost as lacking in vocabulary as Troy Deeney - what a deluded fool!

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey says the club need "really big characters"

"They're going through a massive, massive blip and it will take characters, really big characters to come out of this..."

"Over the years, we've had great players who are huge characters...

"Now they're going to need big characters because this is a tough time. But we need big characters to step up.

"Isak, it's been a tough time for him. Moving clubs, coming to arguably the biggest club in the world..."

Hilarious!

That’s why I hope we neither extend m Bernardo or stones
