Just imagine how good they could actually be if they spent some money like the other clubs who they claim ruin the league.
It's all about moneyball which justifies spending around £400m this transfer window whilst breaking transfer records? All earned from winning the Premier League last season unlike City when we have been winning.

They are no longer net spend champions but found some more of the Coutinho money down the back of the sofa so nothing to see here.

They're behaving exactly how we should have done post the treble. They've gone out and bought players that actively improve their starting XI whilst we signed squad players and allowed the legs to literally fall off the team.

We're miles behind when you compare both teams. Both in personnel and tactically.

Watched them yesterday and the speed at which they play is frightening. Contrast that to us and we literally move the ball at a snails pace.
Careful now. Some cranks will go through your post history and accuse you of being a scouser with this kind of behaviour

Guehi is decent. I can guarantee though that most people would be very underwhelmed with his signing at almost any point in our recent history.

The players we have bought are exciting players and it is obvious that we are trying to tweak the style of play. You will simply have to be patient.
You keep speaking on behalf of everyone else. Guehi would drastically improve our defence and is better than every centre half we have minus Josko. Very few people would complain about buying a proven premier league and quality centre half.

Tweak the style of play? The journey must have impacted on my vision yesterday then watching us being slow, laboured and boringly pass the ball about and being confused why there was no space to make chances, as we allow every man on their team to get back.

They have signed very well for the last few seasons to be fair. Wirtz and Isak. Two world class players. It’s what we used to do but haven’t done in a long long time and it’s why we are where we are.

As much as it pains me to say, they are going to dominate like we did for the next 2/3/4 seasons.

They are winning now and haven't fully clicked yet.

If we are going to catch up then it's going to take an extraordinary few transfer windows from us, and there doesn't seem to be the desire from above to do it.

You think most supporters would be underwhelmed at signing an England international for less than £40m? A player who according to TransferMarket has missed 16 games through injury since 2021.

I applaud your optimism but signing 3 players and none of them are a right back is fucking shocking

Yes. What's Guehi got to do with full backs?

Not a single negative headline anywhere in the media about their £500mill Summer transfer spree.Yet City got continually slaughtered for it by the football media.

And one of the reasons why the club has decided to be too cute and clever buying prospects no other top team wanted rather than going out and buying the absolute best.

The club needs to grow a set, realise how the low net spend as not brought in the plaudits they were hoping for and get back to buying the best.

I think you'll find it's our fault for inflating the market with our previous spending and therefore Liverpool have a moral duty to keep up for the good of football.
