Remarkably, despite how bad they are they are only 5 points behind 2nd or 3 points from top 5 in the league, which is looking likely will get you CL again this season, and they are only 2 points from 2nd in the CL group table.

That's why they won't sack him....yet.

I think they are waiting and hoping Alonso gets the boot from Real Madrid.

Just watched a 10 min highlight package online from CBS Sport. Either PSV’s only four attacks all game all resulted in goals, or there was some very favourable editing going on.
In this instance I think that was actually pretty much the case, i was watching the goals show yesterday, dippers dominated most of the game from what they showed of that and the comments from those watching but PSV were ruthless.

BBC News has just done a report on their struggles including interviewing a couple of those bellends who do podcasts and livestreams etc. I’m just going to nip out to get the smallest violin in the world.

Just looked at the stats and Liverpool had 63% possession, 27 shots to PSV’s 9 and the xG was Lpool 3.06 to PSV’s 1.25.

Seems to be a common story with many a game this season where the dominant possession team has more shots and still ends up losing.

Counter attack football definitely seems to be king at the moment.

United only seems to win for example when they have less possession and shots than the opposition.
