Liverpool v City on Sunday, anyone watching this in town?

Will only stay local and go in the pub where our OSC is based out of, full of blues. But I go to most games so only watch the odd few in there.

Places like Box on Deansgate would be my idea of hell. infested with rags & dips cheering opposition goals etc. no thanks.

I'm at the Box on Sunday, it did have too many Dippers last year, even needed a deposit for a table this time. Handy place for the lads i go to footy with to meet up as we are all from diff parts of the North West.

Forgot the Rags were playing the same day at home, could be spicy later on

I feel the exact same, I'm genuinely so laid back about the game. Normally against Liverpool I'm nervous and get agitated before the game even kicks off.

I must say I'm so relaxed as I'm not expecting us to get anything, If we get a draw or a miraculous win I'll be absolutely buzzing.
Exactly, if we were 2 points ahead & on a 18 game unbeaten run I would be shaking like a defecating dog

Is that one of those places where people pay 10 quid for a pint of shit lager in a plastic cup just to chuck it in their air when someone scores?

Going via train to lime st
I was thinking of the pubs near Goodison on County Road. Everton fans will be watching their game at United on TV round there. They hate LFC more than us. In town the Ship and Mitre is decent for neutrals which is not far from Lime Street and easy to get a taxi from to get up to Anfield. All the pubs near Anfield are totally shite. Full of pissed up and drugged up LFC fans, many of whom will watch their game on TV because they can't afford match tickets. The ones in the stadium will be mostly plastic tourists with lots of half and half scarves.

Genuinely does anyone on here go out and watch City in the pubs in town if you aren't going to the game?

I used to do it years ago, Got pissed off doing it as you can't watch it properly for numerous reasons.

● Some cunts head in the way of the main screen.

● Some random **** talking bollocks to you as you are trying to concentrate on the game.

● Some **** trying to cause trouble.

● Rag cunts

I'll watch it at home and can f and blind all I want, I can also sit in my jocks and city shirt something which can't be done in a pub.
The Lower Turk's Head has aways been great and very Blue when I have been there. You need to get in early for a seat though. Never seen any trouble there. Not least because a lot of well known Manchester families drink there and you would be crazy to start a fight in there. Keep away from Deansgate for obvious reasons.

A few years ago I’d go to the Walforf or the sports pub on Tib St, but these days the only reason I ever go into Manchester is to go to the match.

Covid did it for me to be honest. I detest cities in general these days and enjoy a much more relaxed lifestyle.

Find another way if I was you

The station will be carnage tomorrow. Northern/TPE cancelled some already and my lot wont be able to cope even though we've warned our gaffers to get our strengthened.
Loads cancelled
