Liverpool vs United - what result suits us best?

They'd be 6 points ahead of Liverpool but we'd be their nearest challengers, 7 points behind but with 2 games in hand.
If Liverpool win they are back in the race and a much more difficult challenge than United.
The sooner Liverpool drop out of the title race the better.
Get rid of them first and then start clawing back the points off United.
If the Rags win, Pigmol will ensure they won't be caught. Don't see Liverpool having a strong second half of the season, so hoping they put the rags back in their box. Big time.

Draw. If not a Liverpool win. United winning and going 6 points clear will get them a hell of a lot of confidence and momentum and they have a very winnable looking game against Fulham next.

If we keep winning our games though, we'll be just a point behind. I'd personally take a point behind utd with 5 ahead of liverpool.

At thenend of the day, we just need to do our part and win our games as we go.

i want an exciting end to end game, with thrills, passion and 100% commitment that is sadly brought to an abrupt end when there is a 50/50 challenge in the middle of the pitch in which all 22 players go for the ball, and every single one of them loses a bollock ,and the match declared a draw.

Liverpool look spent and have squad issues. West Brom and Southampton dealt with them quite comfortably. Jota is their most potent threat and he's injured, Firmino is really out of form and you wonder if there is more to Salah wanting to leave than meets the eye. With Van Dijk injured, they've lost Fabinho's influence in midfield with him having to play at the back. With a full squad they're very strong, but with the way the season is they're going to pick up some more injuries. They can still win it of course, but they have issues to resolve, where as for United things are a bit more straight forward; no major injuries, a settled team, and confidence and momentum. Being the first team to win at Anfield in a long time would be huge for them.

I think from now on we need to calculate PPG (points per game) as season can be postponed or paused or eventually cancelled at anytime and should that happen they might this time award the title based on PPG so as long as we stay ahead of that curve, that's what we want ... so I don't think we want rags winning at all ... Liverpool winning also puts them ahead, best is a draw and we go and win against Crystal Palace, that'd fairly put us at the top of the PPG table (or I think one more win against Villa mid-week does that) before them two play again ...

It's a bit like cricket now - keeping an eye on Duckworth-Lewis par at all times with rain around the corner ...

Im with you. If someone made me put a grand of my own money down today, on who finishes higher out of the two tw@ts, then its Liverpool all day. Even if the rags were to win on Sunday. So rags win for me, finish above the Bin Dippers, we win the league!

As long as the league finishes!!

If we win our games we win it. Rags at home to come. Rags were 7/1 on Betfair earlier this week.

Rags for me. I dont really want us top by the end of the month and pressure mounts. Im very happy floating 1 or 3 points behind whoever it is until March or so, when we have united at home, and go for the kill then.

That is, if the rags are still there or there abouts
