Whats this media love in with Liverpool this morning? They were awful. All they did was put us under pressure and watch us fall to pieces. Pressure pressure pressure. Thats all.

Well done to them, they played us just right, but they aint no Barca.

They were the same when they tonked Utd and Madrid the other season, pressure, closing down, pressure, closing down. It was a Benitez speciality and it makes them incredibly hard to play against as you simply dob't have time to play your own game.

their movement was quality, their desire to win was for all to see, their passing was quality and defensively they done what they needed to.

The difference last night was they have a decent manager, who has only been there for a few weeks, but actually has a clue. He inherited someone elses team, bought a couple of players, made them work for each other, with the result of looking half good. How we can't compete with that is totally beyond me.

Liverpool played well (especially first half) and wanted it far more, they played the type of football that we struggle to cope with and play against and that is hard work, pressure and a bit of quality where it mattered.

I said in another thread this was going to a very hard game purely or the fact that Liverpool will be wanting to lay down a marker to us ( and everybody else) for next season, and they did just that.

Footballing wise, they weren't good. Fulham, west ham, west brom all played better football than them last night. If our players matched their desire and workrate we would have won 3-0

Quite how good they are is up for debate given how poor we were but to say that they were rubbish is just ridiculous. Not quite as ridiculous as your thread telling us that semi final tickets were going to sell out on the first Tuesday at 4000 loyalty points but ridiculous nonetheless.
