No doubt, in time, the scum involved will be painted as the victims of a cruel and neglectful society: it will not be their fault, or the fault of their 'parents', but down to youth clubs being closed etc.

I have been in south London 20 years never had much of an issue yet personally. Went via west Croydon home 2 nights last week and road/station closed due to stabbings. Obviously wary of where I go sometimes especially in dark in evenings. Grew up in Northern Ireland in 70s/80s so always kind of needed my wits about me.
