To a mate."If we ever get any money buy that guy there". This young lad was 17 and tearing up midfields for Germany.
Bastien Sweinsteiger.
Even now , when he gets a mention my pal nods at me.
Apparently whisky nose wants him. We must do everything to stop that happening.
I'd be extremely surprised to see him leave Bayern , but if he wants to , i'd say "dip your bread Roberto".
Class act. . . .Look what he did to us and the argies in the world cup.

Past his best at 27?

No way - he just controls a midfield and does it extremely well. Very assured player.

Could handle it in a midfield two with Yaya no problem.

Well aren't you just the all-seeing eye?

any tips for in a few more years time, or was this your only success?

cant see him ever leaving munich.
if he does , we should break the bank for him.
world class player

You have seen him at 17 and he was standing out?

Sorry, you are bullshitting. When Schweinsteiger was 17 he was in a Bayern team with Erdal Kilcaslan, who has been record international for the German youth teams and a couple of others like Trochowski... He was not in all of the muppet shows... He was not the biggest talent there and not really mentioned - he sure has talent but especially had the ability, will and character to work for it. He has not even been in any U-teams before the U-18...

And the first years in the professional team and the German team he played winger not in the midfield...

True! He started on the wing. However he was a fantastic one.

What a twatty way to speak to someone, how do you know he didn't stand out in his eyes? Think you need to calm down a bit.

Bastian is a bit of a De Rossi/Robben type player in the sense that when they are playing at their very best they are immense, but they often blow cold and fizzle out of entire seasons.

Anyhow he is Mr Bayern Munich and there is zero chance he would leave them imo.
