Contrary to most posts on here I’m gutted we missed out on him. A Kovacic and Paqueta midfield with foden in the 10 would have aloud us to give rodri a much needed break.

Very impressed how hard he works off the ball and he keeps the ball well. Of course he is no where near £80 mil but the Market is bonkers now. If caicedo went for £115 mil and Lavia £55 mil then I’d argue £80 mil is not far off fair value these days!

Admittedly that's the first time I've watched him for 90 mins.....but I wasn't far wrong in my initial thinking.He is far too inconsistent,doesn't work hard enough,lacks real quality,and his dramatics are embarrassing.....takes a good pen mind ;-)

Would have been a decent option but not a make or break one. With the charges looming it is good to move on from signing Paqueta.

I can't believe some of the comments in here!

"not working hard enough" Ha.. I must have been watching a different game. He worked his tail off, held the ball up well, was good in the opposition box, etc... What a shame for him and us if the allegations are true and he misses out on a big move.
