Actually what they did was have a meal after they'd put their kids to bed, kind of like what an awful lot of people do.

So your moaning about giving kids sweets which according to you leads to self harming but defending them leaving their kids unattended which resulted to one of their kids going missing?

Not at all just don't jump to insult folk who put their kids to bed have a meal within eyeshot of their apparent and check on them regularly.

If they were in eyeshot how did she get taken without them seeing it happening?

Exactly. 60 yards as the crow flies or a 100 yard walk is not a short distance. I used to live in a house 20 yards from a pub and wouldn't dream of leaving the kids alone in the house while I went to the pub, especially leaving the door unlocked.

I am not moaning about kids getting sweets, I said harm as occurred to more kids as a result.
I am not critical of kids getting sweets or of what the McCanns did.

It makes it normal behaviour.
My parents generation always put their kids out in front of the house to sleep in a pram, no one would have thought twice about leaving kids outside a shop in a push chair.
On the continent in holiday camps it is normal to leave your kids sleeping when you are having meal
