The story is completely laughable. Basically it says we would loan him to them for the rest of the season if they bought him at the end of the season for what he cost us?

Benefit to us absolutely zero. Its come from marca which is the spanish equuivalent of the daily mirror and says informal contact has been made. I mean what the hell is that it could be anything.

If they will insist on making up stories they could at least make them plausible

This.

If it was true though... I would tell them to fuck right off. We aint a charity and to loan Tevez out? My fucking arse. I would tell them to keep their money aswell, player swap + money for Tevez.

Shitbags.

Re: Tevez

There's some truth in this, according to Graham Hunter (Madrid based Spanish football journalist), Real are interested in Tevez, they've had discussions about whether to go for him or not. Whether the specifics of the story are accurate is doubtful of course.

Re: Tevez

If its true and they have even made an enquiry at this stage of the season we should refuse to sell to them at any price.

Impossible to sell him at this stage would completely ruin out season. Maybe a tactic to get Ade on the cheap

Re: Tevez

A loan deal? Like hell that's going to happen. If anything he'll go at the end of the season for more than that.

That's not the most sensational thing I've ever heard to be honest mate. I'd imagine every club in the world are interested in Carlos, but only a select few will ever be able to afford him.

Re: Madrid bid £33m for Tevez

The sluggish Real Madrid performance last night against bottom of the table Almeria was probably a key moment for Mourinho.

The 0-0 draw leaves them 4 points behind the much slicker Barcelona. The Catalans don't look like losing another match in La Liga this season.

So, chances are that the coach, struggling with Benzema consistently under performing, Higuan out till August and Kaka looking a shadow of himself at the peak of his career at AC Milan, is desperate to recruit a striker, a proven goalscorer, to take some of the scoring pressure of Ronaldo.

With Hamburg playing hardball over Van Nistelrooy, acknowledging that Adebayor was a non-starter, it looks like Tevez is the new target. The report is almost certainly one generated in the Spanish press with the full backing of the club itself. Classic destabilising tactics designed to agitate the player and club being targeted.

If there is even modicum of truth in this story then we should immediately issue a statement to the effect that Carlos Tevez is NOT FOR SALE.

In reality, we need a further striking option ourselves to replace RSC, Adebayor and the consistently useless Jo. Balotelli is a loose cannon and is clearly unreliable both for temperament and fitness reasons, so we must have an array of strikers at least as impressive as Spurs who with Defoe, Crouch and Pavlyuchenko. By this I,m not saying that the three Tottenham strikers are the best in the premiership but certainly they have better options that we do currently.

All the more reasons to repel this approach as forcefully as it is possible to do. Tevez is our most important player by a long chalk.
