Maine Rd FC

Well, 2-0 up but lost 3-2 in a good game.
Stronger side won
Another great attendance-324

onto the next one…

I was also at the game and Maine Road just seemed too young and a bit lightweight (apart from the Forward who got punched in the nose), Amateurs just seemed to be a bit more streetwise, as soon as they got a goal back I thought they would go on to win.

If anyone’s at a loose end for Bank Holiday Monday, it’s the big South Manchester derby at 3pm tomorrow, West Didsbury and Chorlton v Maine Road in the North West Counties league div 1 (south) at Brookburn Road, Chorlton.
Admission £5 adults, £3 over 60/Under 18, Kids under 12 and dogs free, and a crowd of 700+ expected. West are the form team of the two, sitting in second after beating FC IoM yesterday, but Road (14th) also had a big win yesterday have the local bragging rights having won the last encounter.
Should be a cracking game and a decent afternoon. Football in the sun while standing up with a beer, what’s not to like?
