How easy is this to do?

Can you make a professional looking site without having to get someone to do it all for you? Say something similar to the main bluemoon website without the forum, would that be doable? How long would in take for someone with little knowledge of building a website to put it together from scratch?

Also, is it easy enough to point two URL's to the same website?

Finally, are there any decent programs/software packages that make it simple?

Thanks

There are a few tools to help for example serif web plus <a class="postlink" href="http://www.serif.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.serif.com/</a> .

It all depends really but play around with that for a starters.

Yes you can set 2 domains to direct to the same site pretty easy via your controler panel.

Pm me if you need help with any of the site design tools that you need help finding :)

Use Wordpress. It's free and there are thousands of free templates for you to use.

Google 'beginners guide to Wordpress' to get started.

I've always used <a class="postlink" href="http://www.webs.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.webs.com</a> as it's free and pretty easy to use. You can always upgrade your package so you can get more storage, bandwidth etc

I did my website with it; <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfcshirts.webs.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.mcfcshirts.webs.com</a>

Cheers.

Nice site goon.

How much can be made from advertisments on the site? How much do you reckon Ric makes off a site the size of bluemoon for example?

Forums are notoriously poor income generators, but you can make a lot of money if you get your targeting right. Eg the banners advertise City memorabilia, tickets, betting, kits rather than Skoda test drives.
