Surprised we even appealed, was never going to get rescinded.
Your probably right unfortunately
Agree. But maybe there is an automatic appeal protocol by The FA that just makes us look stupid. Can't believe we even appealed it, they were never going to over turn that.
*oléStrange isn't it how they all miss these decisions and the ref doesn't have anyone whispering down there earpiece unlike when we olay/
It was a pleasure to watch the refereeing performance last night. The fact that I can say that demonstrates how bad its been this season.
Cricket and rugby reviews are fact based, whereas what is and isn't a foul and handball particularly is subjective.
Rugby for example looks to see if the ball is grounded or out of play, and whether a player is onside. All of those are quite simple with TV providing yes/no answers. Cricket also provides yes/no on whether something is hit, and the predictive ball path; it's still quite poor on judging if a ball has carried to a diving fielder as the angles are often quite unclear.
Football Offsides on review should pick up clear offsides, but when players are in motion, it wouldn't show it for certain and we'd have to accept that.
The irony being he'll probably score against us as well (although not saying his ban should have stood) and agree about jones he should face a three match ban instead..the irony West Ham player is sent off against Rags after 15 minutes and they are gifted the game , West Ham player wins appeal and can now play full 90 minutes against us. Perhaps a fairer way would be to take Stan Laurel off in the Rags next game in the 15th minute and punish the ugly c*nt for has award winning treble roll and scream like a girl manouvre , if their were oscars given out for cheats Stan laurel (the guy who hit every branch of the ugly tree when he fell out of it) , would win hands down , Rag tw*t
Thats the main issue, what one referee considers a foul another might not and it can mostly depend ontheir positioning.
TV refs will never be a 100% perfect (Cricket and both Rugby codes aren't) but it should reduce the amount of errors/inconsistencies by being a back up for when a ref is unsure/unsighted or being able to interject when something needs to be addressed that was missed or in the case(s) of Rojo advising it's a red card offence.
I hope a positive from this ban is Garcia can get some minutes
