After today's performance, if I was Pellegrini I'd be very, very tempted to do as you say, but we probably have to be a bit more cautious. I expect us to line up 4-2-3-1 and possibly change it later on to 4-4-2 if we're in with a chance of controlling the game and looking to win it.
