I'm quite sure Bayern's better youth players plays for their B side. Pierre emil Højbjerg for example never played in this cup.

Isn't he too old?

He turned 19 in august, but for example, last year or the year before that he didnt feature in that competition. Bayern's better players go straight to their B side so they can play against senior players :)
