I have been trying to find some statistics about the next game, and the history of both teams. I did not find any.

So, i thought to raise the question to you.

Have we ever played Napoli in the past?

Regards

Thanks for correction

Re: Man City Vs. Naboli

It's Napoli but as to your question I don't think we have played then before

Napoli had never played an English side until Liverpool in the Europa League last year! We are there second! Napoli have there first game in Serie A this weekend so tyey should really fresh. They did get a 5-0 thumping by Barca a few week back though..

Thank you, appreciate your reply

So, this is the first time we play with Napoli

The strange thing is it that both City and Napoli won thier local league only twice, and they both were in 3rd place last season (Napoli 70p, City 71p).

Napoli are an interesting team. Good going forward but are a bit more lapsy at the back. Like Udinese, they usually play with 3 at the back (most likely Cannavaro, Britos and Campagnaro). They then have Wing backs who are very attacking in Dossena, Maggio, Zuniga and Aronica. Maggio is a danger with pace, so except Clichy to play. That along with 2 CM (2 from Inler, Gargano and Donadel) they then play 2 attacking midfielders who drift in and out from wide areas. These 2 will most likely be Lavezzi and Hamsik who will support Cavani upfront. They also have Pandev from Inter who can cause problems.

Dangermen for me are: Maggio, Inler, Lavezzi, Hamsik and Cavani (Hamsik and Cavani will cause the most danger however.

Expect this line up:

De Sanctis
Campagnaro
Britos
Cannavaro (C)
Maggio
Inler
Gargano
Dossena
Hamsik
Lavezzi
Cavani

This can then turn into a 4-4-2 with Dossena at LB, Campagnaro at RB and Gargano moving onto the left midfield.

-- Fri Sep 09, 2011 7:22 pm --

Also, be warned of there President De Laurentiis as he's a loudmouth C*nt.
He once called Messi a piece of shit or something along those lines.

Disagree with you about Hamsik and Cavani being their most dangerous players, their most dangerous player is Lavezzi IMO, he's dribbling skills and electric pace open up the defence for Cavani.

They've got a fantastic strike force, also got Pandev from Inter who's a decent player.

Fair opinion. I'm only looking at it from games I've seen. Hamsik is more the creativity in the team and Cavani is the one who finishes them off. But I agree that Lavezzi is dangerous
