Good efforts from Kev, Jesus and Ake. Solid all round really, although Mendy got rinsed with his customary regularity

Kev for me, even though he faded in the second half. A goal and an assist.

Yep, he did fade for sure, and it coincided with our overall drop off and their temporary surge in pressure

Yep, he did to be fair. I was pleasantly surprised, and I have to be honest and say I was one of those doubting his ability to still do a job for 90+ minutes.
Rodders still has a sloppy possession-losing pass in him though.

Was probably de Bruyne but I gave it to Rodri as I hope that's what we'll see from him from now on. Forwards press and Rodri sweeps up loose balls and hurried clearances, thought he was the main reason for our total control first half.

De Bruyne looked better than last season, seems fully over the injuries and back to the all action player for 100 point season. Foden was superb first half too, that sprint back to cover for Walker was something we didn't see enough of last season.

Wouldn't say Fern rolled back the years but he used all his intelligence and experience to very good effect. Some of his positioning and the way he and Rodri swapped about and made sure the back four was always protected was excellent.

Kev though was MotM by a distance.
